Hello all,
This is my weekly installment of Creative Commercials this week. I have a range of things that I am going to go over, some may be somewhat controversial, but I feel they must be on here to see other peoples point of view. And again I always get my content from Creativity Online which is one of my favorite websites to visit as I do my communications research.
«Red Cross: Simple Gestures»
This one was done by Saatchi & Saatchi, Switzerland.
I think the infections melody is very catchy. But it helps them get their message across in a good way without forcing you to do good. Kind of reminds me of that movie Pay it Forward. I’m not too sure if this one will make it to the US or not. Ill just have to see.
«Robinsons: Wimbledon»
This one was done by BBH of London. The company in the ad is a London Based soft drink Company called Robinsons. I like this one because I just started playing tennis for leisure with my brother. I feel that they are trying to connect with the people. We all have been glued to the screen for sporting events where it came down to the wire. They are basically saying that they have a major part in that fan engagement.
«Lynx/Axe: Maracas»
This one was also done by BBH of London. It was made for the UK market. Axe has always done a good job at making people wonder about their commercials. This one was no exception. I will not elaborate on what they are trying to say their product does. But it is a funny commercial
«Dunkin Donuts | Spike TV | Yoga, Swim, Lacrosse, Chess, Baby»
This was done by a company called Hill Holiday. This is hillarious. Barry Switzer is the guy in this commercial he is a former Oklahoma as well as Dallas Cowboys football coach. This seems to me like a calmed down/modified version of the Terry Tate series of office linebacker commercials. This guy is hillarious how a pushy coach can come into the most calm situations. It fits with the anatomy of Spike TV.
